Dear
Carl:
You and your group have done a superb job in the last few
months’ media training more than 50 of the Los Alamos National
Laboratory senior staff and scientists. The Laboratory has
been subjected to intense media scrutiny and interest because
of the events concerning Wen Ho Lee and alleged security violations
at LANL. Your advice, analysis and communication strategies
have been invaluable in dealing with these controversies.
Lab Director John Browne and his top staff have unanimously
praised the effectiveness practicality and usefulness of the
media training. They commented on the thorough preparation
of you and your staff in tailoring the training experience
to each individual’s area of expertise and likelihood for
media attention.
Your credentials as former news media insiders were a definite
plus to these scientist who are often skeptical of consultants.
Another recurring theme in their comments was how much ”fun”
they had during the sessions. Many commented that even though
the training took a full day out of their busy schedules,
that it was well worth the time. Thanks for building on the
work the Public Affairs Staff is doing at LANL. We look forward
to working with you again.
Sincerely,
Sylvia
